1. USE OF INFORMATION COLLECTED WHEN ONLY BROWSING THE SITE
Visitors who do not volunteer information will have only the following non-invasive components collected:
- the Internet Protocol (IP) address and domain name used. An IP address is an identifier assigned to either your Internet service provider or your computer. This address can be translated to determine the domain name of your service provider (e.g., “company.com”). Domain names are useful if a security issue is suspected;
- the type of browser and operating system you use;
- web pages or services you accessed at this Site; and,
- the web Site you visited prior to coming to this web Site.
The components listed above are used for information and statistical purposes only. We may use these components to create summary statistics used to assess highly accessed pages to assist in determining web design specifications, and/or assess system performance or problem areas. Additionally, we employ software programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage to our Site. Except for authorized law enforcement investigations and the security purposes mentioned elsewhere in this Policy, no other attempts are made to identify individual users or their usage habits when that individual is only browsing the Site. Raw data logs are used for no other purposes and are scheduled for regular destruction.
